After a standout football career at the University of North Carolina, Brennan Williams was drafted into the National Football League by the Houston Texans in 2013. His gridiron journey also passed through Florida with the Jacksonville Jaguars, then closed with the New England Patriots. Just 5 days after parting from professional football, it was announced that Brennan was beginning a new journey — training with Booker T and Reality of Wrestling. He quickly evolved from Brennan Williams “the former footballer,” to his new persona, Marcellus Black “the wrestler.” Or even more befitting, Marcellus Black “The Shogun of The ROW.”

Following his first official professional wrestling match in February of 2016, Marcellus quickly climbed to the top of the Reality of Wrestling roster during the months that followed. His undeniable talent, natural athleticism, and dramatic showmanship attracted a legion of fans as well as interest from the ultimate sports entertainment company, World Wrestling Entertainment.

It is with great pride that Reality of Wrestling announces and congratulates Brennan Williams/Marcellus Black on achieving a WWE developmental contract.
